     Each year, the charming town of Alderson transforms into a sea of red, white, and blue as it proudly hosts what’s been named West Virginia’s BEST Fourth of July Celebration. This beloved tradition offers something for everyone, with festivities that include a youth bicycle race, horse show, kids fishing tournament, car show, and home and business decorating contest. Visitors can enjoy craft and food vendors, WV inflatables for the kids, field event races, river event races, and plenty of entertainment and live bands throughout the celebration. Long-standing favorites like the Fireman’s Rodeo, spirited 5K Race, canoe races, Ducks on the River Rubber Duck Race, ice cream social, community gatherings, and the always-entertaining Mr. Rexroad Contest make the week even more special. Of course, the celebration wouldn’t be complete without the iconic Grand Parade and the dazzling Grand Fireworks Display.
